As student needs grow, funding to Texas schools decreases. Bandera ISD taxpayers are making every effort to provide quality education, and basic needs are being provided for all children in our state. Many unfunded mandates are made by the State each legislative year that school districts must comply with which decreases our ability to fund innovative teaching projects. Teachers have creative ideas and projects that cannot always be funded through regular tax revenue school resources. The Education Foundation is there to help!

The sole purpose of the Foundation is to benefit teachers and students in the Bandera Independent School District. The Foundation provides funding opportunities for educational programs and activities which either have not been subsidized, or have been under-financed by the District’s normal operating budget. The Foundation’s resources will be used to: facilitate student achievement and skill development; recognize and encourage staff excellence; and expand community involvement from individuals, businesses and civic organizations.

The Bandera ISD Education Foundation is a non-profit, tax exempt 501 (c) (3) public corporation operating independently under its own board of directors with no paid administrator. All work is completed by community volunteers.
